We know from experience that making important decisions can be difficult, but when it comes to such a step, it is important to know all the information that will make us confident in our own decisions.

So, whether you're already an IQOS user or maybe you're hesitant and want to know more, we've prepared a little information guide where you can find all the facts about IQOS.

First and foremost is to know that IQOS does NOT burn!

IQOS produces 95% less harmful ingredients compared to cigarettes.*

Important information: It does not have to equal a 95% risk reduction. IQOS is not without risk.

Secondly, IQOS does NOT create smoke!

The taste of cigarettes is the result of the taste and smell of the smoke that occurs when the tobacco is burned.

IQOS does not create smoke because it heats the tobacco instead of burning it. In this way, it provides the taste of real tobacco, with 95% less harmful substances compared to cigarettes.*

Thirdly, IQOS does NOT create tar!

Tar is a product of cigarette burning. IQOS does not create tar because it heats tobacco instead of burning it, releasing aerosol particles that are fundamentally different from "tar" and contain significantly lower levels of harmful substances.*

Important information: The absence of tar does not mean that IQOS is risk-free. IQOS releases nicotine, which is addictive.

Fourth, IQOS is a better option because it does not produce high amounts of carbon monoxide.

Cigarettes burn tobacco, producing high amounts of carbon monoxide. IQOS does not burn tobacco and produces on average 98% less carbon monoxide and significantly lower levels of other harmful substances compared to cigarettes.*
