How does IQOS work?
IQOS devices use advanced technology to heat specially designed tobacco sticks at a lower temperature than cigarettes, avoiding combustion. Since the process of burning is avoided, IQOS releases 95% less harmful chemicals* than cigarettes.

Our heating technology
The SMARTCORE™ technology in IQOS ILUMA intelligently heats the specially designed stick from its core without burning it. A controlled process that enables the taste of real tobacco and provides satisfaction similar to a cigarette* for up to 6 minutes or 14 puffs (whichever comes first).
