IQOS ILUMA i PRIME and IQOS ILUMA i devices now feature a pause mode — the latest innovative addition to the new ILUMA i devices, powered by our most advanced technology.
In this article, we’ll explore this new feature and the benefits that IQOS ILUMA i PRIME and IQOS ILUMA i devices offer.
In the past, if something interrupted your session, you had to start over. With the pause mode, you can now interrupt your experience for up to eight minutes and resume whenever you like. Whether someone rings the doorbell or you need to take a phone call, you can now easily activate the pause option via the touchscreen.
What are the benefits of this mode? The pause mode is more than just a cool feature—it brings greater flexibility to your experience.
Let’s start with the technical part – how to use the pause mode on your IQOS ILUMA i PRIME or IQOS ILUMA i device:
Activation: Swipe your finger down across the entire touchscreen to pause. You’ll feel a subtle vibration indicating the pause has started.
Pause Countdown: During the pause, the LED lights on the screen will gradually turn off, showing a countdown. The lights fade counterclockwise, starting from the 12 o’clock position.
Resuming: If you don’t resume within eight minutes, the holder will automatically power off. You’ll feel a vibration indicating the pause is ending. To resume, swipe up across the entire touchscreen.
It’s important to note that when the pause mode is active, the session is limited to 14 consecutive uses (including those before and after the pause). After resuming, preheating will take about 20 seconds, during which a light signal will appear on the screen to show the activity is ending. A vibration and light signal will indicate the holder is ready to use again.
The pause mode is available only in Performance mode and only within the first three minutes or during eight consecutive uses. When pause is activated, Performance mode allows up to two back-to-back sessions, but the pause mode is available only during one of them.
If you experience issues with the pause function, we’re here to help. First, make sure your swipe on the screen is fast and deliberate—any swipe slower than 0.5 seconds won’t be registered.
Additionally, if you're holding the device and trying to swipe with just one hand, try using the index finger of your other hand to ensure proper motion.
If you don’t resume your session within eight minutes, the holder will automatically turn off.
