60 Minutes of Darkness for a Brighter Future

That's why this time IQOS supports the following initiative called "Earth Hour". What is it actually about?

At a time when climate change is taking center stage in the media space, each of us is affected by the direction the environmental situation is heading, locally and globally. Environmentalists constantly warn about possible disasters if we do not take concrete measures as individuals and as a civilization. The clock is ticking, and we need to act. And the action has to start from somewhere. That's why since 2007 the "Earth Hour" initiative has encouraged all individuals, communities and businesses to turn off electric lights and appliances (non-essential) for one hour out of 20: 00 to 21:00, on the last Saturday of March, as a symbol of dedication to planet Earth.

That's why IQOS invites you this year on March 25 at 8:30 p.m. to support this mission together.

Just 60 minutes of your time? Yes, just one hour. It may not seem like much, but the magic happens when you, along with those in Asia and Africa, North and South America, Oceania and other countries in Europe - supporters in over 190 countries and territories - all take an hour for our one and only home, planet Earth. In doing so, this hour can shine a light on the neglected global attention to the loss of nature due to climate change, as well as the need to work together to ensure a brighter future for all. This act could move millions to action, unite cities, countries, continents, showing what we all have in common and what we stand to lose. It can inspire us and remind us that not only this but also all other classes are important.

Can one hour change the world? It's just the beginning and it's up to us. Be the change you want to see. So, this Saturday, March 25th at 8:30 p.m., turn off the lights for an hour. And don't forget that love, like life, begins in darkness.
