We meet the ladies who are part of the IQOS team

International Women's Day is an occasion to celebrate femininity and recognize the achievements of women in various fields of life. This March 8th we meet four modern, strong, successful women who are part of the IQOS team. Read on to find out what they have to say.

Vasilka – part of the management team:

Because it is a progressive way of constructively solving a problem based on science, evidence and research. Science does not allow tolerance for improvisation, the device as a platform is constantly evolving and thus changing the lives of millions of smokers, who would otherwise continue to smoke. With the development and promotion of less harmful products, we are strongly convinced that we enable a better choice of smoke-free future.

2. What is the most important piece of advice you have received that has helped you in your career and life?

The advice I accepted as a mandatory lesson from my parents and also my life motto - to live a life filled with kindness, honesty and helping. There is nothing more powerful than an honest woman with a good mind and a clear attitude of what she wants. This applies equally to career and all things in life.

Maja – part of the finance team:

I received my first IQOS device as a gift from a person very dear to me, and it is one of the most precious gifts I have ever received. For me, it was not just a gift, but one of the biggest changes in my lifestyle. Later I had the opportunity to become part of the exceptional IQOS team, and thus further deepened my relationship with the brand, through daily activities, learning about the science behind this product and the essence of "what IQOS means". I am honored to be part of this team that continues to make positive changes with other smokers and supports them to take the right step towards a better alternative.

2. What would you recommend to young women for career advancement?

I advise them to always follow and listen to their inner voice and find their goal. Meeting the goal is not always as we plan, so no matter what obstacles they face on the road to success, always remind them why they are on that road. There is no bad decision or mistake, because only the one who tries can succeed.

Elsa – part of the digital platform support team:

Transparency and a lot of education. Our business partners use our digital platform daily, through which different content is shared regarding our products, fact-based content which justifies why IQOS is a better choice for them, and also for their loved ones. Constant close and transparent communication is exactly what makes co-operation even stronger. The whole scientific approach, based on facts, science and real results behind IQOS, allows our partners to gain confidence, and offer the IQOS device to their adult users as a better alternative than cigarettes and become our ambassadors, who are also the first and most important contact of all our existing and potential users.

2. What woman is the inspiration in your life?

My mother! Her patience, her rationality, her selflessness are some of the virtues that inspire me to become the best version of myself every day. Her commitment to all small, large, significant and less significant family moments for me is more than an inspiring model. Nowadays, it is easy to forget about some real life values, but it is she who knows how to remind me of what is most important. The way it makes things look simpler and easier is the best example of what it means to be a woman, a mother and a super star.

Almedina – part of the marketing team:

Responsibility is extremely high given the reputation of a brand like IQOS. My confidence in the brand does not stem from the fact that I have the opportunity part of the IQOS team, essentially the IQOS itself is extremely well complemented with all that I am. It's a key factor in my continued inspiration. I cannot miss the fact that through my daily engagement I draw inspiration from the users themselves, by exploring their needs, finding the most appropriate way to meet them, which will result in satisfied users, who not only use our device but feel it as an integrated part of them and their daily lives.

2. What qualities do you think a successful woman should own?

The perception of success in everyone is different especially when giving a personal insight into a woman's success. Given the society we live in, women in our country are a constant target of condemnation when it comes to assessing success. Basically, the term successful woman is very sensitive and, from my personal vision, it comes down to any one who does not give up, one who is brave regardless of all the pressures she faces. For me, every woman who fulfils her goals every day is successful and is trying to make the most of it. All women are successful and every woman faces challenges, so any confrontation and overcoming them is a success for me.
